Apple Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Roll half the pasty onto floured surface into circle a little larger than inverted pie plate. Gently put pastry into pan.
  3. Combine cornstarch, Equal|, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
  4. Sprinkle over apples in a large bowl and toss.
  5. Place apple mixture into pie crust.
  6. Roll other half pastry into circle large enough to cover pie.
  7. Cut out shapes from pastry using cookie cutter.
  8. Place pastry on pie.
  9. Trim and seal edges by pressing with fork.
  10. Place cut out shapes onto pie crust. Bake 40-50 minutes, until pastry is brown and apples are tender. Cool on wire rack.
