The Best Lasagne

  1. In a heavy 3 or 4-quart pot, brown the meat, onion and garlic in the olive oil.
  2. Add the tomatoes and paste, the mushrooms, basil, parsley, salt and pepper.
  3. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
  4. Cook the lasagne noodles according to the package directions.
