Spaghetti Sauce(Serves 8)
- 3 large onions
- 3 green peppers
- 3 stalks celery
- 3 lb. hamburg
- 1/2 lb. bacon
- salt and pepper to taste
- garlic
- 6 cans tomato soup
- 3 cans tomato paste
- 1 c. Chianti wine
- 3 lb. thin spaghetti
- Chop onions, green peppers and celery fine; fry in oil in a skillet until brown and tender.
- Fry the hamburg, bacon, salt, pepper and garlic in oil in a separate skillet until cooked. Then mix all these ingredients together. In a soup pot, mix tomato soup with tomato paste. Add the onion, peppers, celery, hamburg, bacon and garlic mixture. Cook slowly for 4 hours. Boil the spaghetti in water until cooked. Drain. Serve sauce on top of spaghetti. Add Italian grated cheese over the top of the sauce and serve with hot peppers, if desired.
