Pineapple Dream Cake
- 2 sticks margarine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 2 (8 1/4 oz.) cans crushed pineapple, drained
- 2 small boxes vanilla pudding
- 2 envelopes Dream Whip
- chopped walnuts
- Prepare vanilla pudding and cool thoroughly.
- Sift flour, sugar and salt together.
- Cut in margarine and egg yolk with pastry blender until well mixed.
- Firmly press mixture onto a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch cookie sheet and bake at 350u0b0 for 20 minutes.
- Cool completely.
- Mix cooled vanilla pudding with drained crushed pineapple and spread over baked crust.
- Prepare Dream Whip according to directions on package and spread over pudding mixture.
- Sprinkle with nuts.
- Cut into squares.
- Chill.
- (This recipe may be cut in half.)
