Spaghetti Casserole
- 2 slices bacon, diced
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 lb. hamburg
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 3 c. water
- 1/2 c. sliced ripe olives
- 1/2 lb. spaghetti (uncooked)
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- In skillet that has lid, fry bacon 2 minutes.
- Stir in onions and garlic.
- Cook until tender.
- Add hamburg and brown lightly. Stir in seasonings, tomato sauce and water.
- Cover and simmer about 25 minutes.
- Stir in ripe olives.
- Break 1/2 of spaghetti into greased 2-quart casserole.
- Cover with 1/2 sauce and 1/2 cheese.
- Repeat layers.
- Cover and bake for 45 minutes.
- Uncover and bake 15 minutes or longer, until brown and bubbly.
