Chewy Brownie Cookies
- 1 1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
- 2/3 c. butter flavor Crisco
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/3 c. cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. (12 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Heat oven to 375u0b0.
- Combine brown sugar, Crisco, water and vanilla in large bowl.
- Beat at medium speed until well blended. Beat in eggs.
- Add flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
- Beat at low speed until blended.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 7 to 9 minutes or until cookies are set. Do not overbake.
- Cookies should be soft and moist.
- Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet before removing to foil.
- Makes 3 dozen cookies.
