Spicy Clam Dip
- 3 (6 1/2 oz.) cans chopped Gorton's clams with juice
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tsp. parsley
- 2 to 3 tsp. Tabasco
- grated cheese (Muenster suggested)
- paprika
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 lb. unsalted butter
- 6 slices bacon, crumbled
- 1/2 large green pepper
- 1 tsp. oregano
- Italian style bread crumbs
- Parmesan cheese
- Simmer chopped clams and lemon juice for 10 to 15 minutes (medium in microwave).
- Mix all ingredients together and gradually add Italian style bread crumbs to thicken consistency.
- Pour into large casserole dish.
- Top with grated cheese (suggestion Muenster).
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and paprika.
