Savory Spaghetti
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1/4 lb ground pork
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 small green pepper, sliced
- 1/2 c sliced ripe olives
- 1 can (2 oz) mushrooms, drained
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 1/2 c tomatoes
- 2 c water
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 6 drops tabasco
- 4 oz long spaghetti
- Brown meat in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, green pepper and cook 5 min. Add olives, mushrooms, tomato sauce, and mix lightly. Stir mixture of tomatoes, water, salt, pepper, worcestershire sauce, tabasco, into meat mixture. Add uncooked spaghetti and bring to a boil. Cover tightly, reduce heat to low and simmer about 40 min. stirring occasionally. Uncover and simmer 15 min. longer. About 6 servings.
