Cocktail Meatballs
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 Tbsp. bread crumbs
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 finely chopped onion
- 1/2 finely chopped green pepper
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can Campbell's tomato soup
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. prepared mustard
- dash hot pepper sauce
- Mix beef, bread crumbs, egg and salt; shape into 50 small meatballs (1/2-inch).
- Place in shallow baking pan (13 x 9 x 2-inch).
- Broil until browned; turn once.
- Spoon off fat. Meanwhile in saucepan, cook onion and green pepper in butter until tender.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Pour over meatballs. Cover; bake at 350u0b0 for 20 minutes.
