Strawberry Angel Dessert
- 1 (8 serving) pkg. wild strawberry flavored gelatin
- 2 c. boiling water
- 1 c. cold water
- 1 pt. fresh strawberries*
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 1/2 c. whipped topping, thawed
- 4 c. angel food cake cubes*
- Dissolve gelatin
- in boiling water.
- Add cold water and chill until slightly thickened.
- Slice strawberries, reserving a few for garnish, if desired, and sprinkle with sugar.
- Blend whipped topping
- into
- gelatin;
- then
- fold
- in cake cubes and strawberries.
- Spoon into 10-inch tube pan or 13 x 9-inch cake pan; chill
- until
- firm,
- about
- 3
- hours.
- Unmold or cut into squares.
- Garnish
- with
- additional
- whipped
- topping
- and the reserved strawberries.
- Makes 10 cups or 12 to 15 servings.
