Wild Rice Hot Dish
- 3 c. boiling water
- 1 c. wild rice
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cans (10 3/4 oz. each) cream of chicken soup, undiluted
- 2 cans (4 oz. each) beef broth
- 1 1/3 c. water
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1 crushed bay leaf
- 1 Tbsp. celery salt
- 1 Tbsp. onion salt
- 1 Tbsp. poultry seasoning
- 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp. paprika
- 1 Tbsp. pepper
- 1/8 tsp. dried thyme
- 1/2 c. sliced almonds
- In a large bowl, pour water over rice, let stand for 15 minutes.
- Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet brown ground beef and onion.
- Drain.
- Add to rice with remaining ingredients except almonds.
- Put in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
- Cover.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 2 hours.
- Sprinkle almonds on top.
- Uncover and bake 30 minutes.
- Serves 8 to 12.
