Apple Bread

  1. Cream 1/2 cup butter, gradually adding sugar; beat until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Dissolve soda in buttermilk; add to batter, mixing well.
  4. Stir in flour.
  5. Add vanilla.
  6. Stir in apples, walnuts and raisins.
  7. Spoon into 2 greased and floured 7 1/2 x 3 x 2-inch loaf pans.
  8. Drizzle melted butter over loaves.
  9. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon; stir well and sprinkle over loaves.
  10. Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
  11. Yields 2 loaves.
