Potato Cheeseburger Pie
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 c. fresh bread crumbs (about 2 slices)
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 c. green pepper
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 2 instant beef bouillon
- 1 1/4 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 (8 oz.) container sour cream
- 2 c. instant mashed potato flakes
- 8 slices cheese, cut in half
- lettuce and tomato (optional)
- Preheat oven
- to 350u0b0.tn a medium bowl, combine meat, crumbs, 1
- egg,
- green
- pepper,
- onion and bouillon; mix well. Use as a shell in a 9-inch pan; bake for 10 minutes.
- Pour off fat. Int
- medium
- saucepan,
- heat water, butter and salt to boiling. Remove
- from heat; add sour cream and potato flakes. Stir in 1 egg and 1/2 of cheese;
- spoon into shell.
- Bake for 10 minutes. Top with remaining cheese; bake 5 minutes longer. Let stand
- for 5
- minutes.
- Top
- with
- lettuce and tomato, if desired.
