Snowcapped Broccoli Spears

  1. Cook frozen broccoli spears according to package directions; drain well.
  2. Meanwhile in a small bowl beat egg whites and salt with a rotary beater until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold in mayonnaise or salad dressing; set aside.
  4. Arrange cooked broccoli spears with stem ends toward center on oven-proof platter or 9-inch pie plate.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter over broccoli spears. Spoon the mayonnaise mixture into the center of the platter over broccoli stems; sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake in a 350u0b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until topping is golden.
  7. Makes 6 servings.
