Italiano Meat Pie
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/3 c. green pepper, chopped
- 3/4 c. water
- 6 oz. can tomato paste
- 1 1/2 oz. pkg. spaghetti sauce mix
- 1 frozen deep dish pie crust shell
- 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 1/2 c. Mozzarella cheese, grated
- Preheat oven to 400u0b0.
- Brown beef in a large skillet.
- Drain. Add green pepper and cook 2 minutes.
- Stir in water, tomato paste and spaghetti sauce mix.
- Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle 1/2 of the Parmesan cheese over the bottom of the frozen pie shell.
- Add 1/2 the meat mixture in pie shell.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of the Mozzarella cheese over this and layer remaining meat and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake on a cookie sheet 15 minutes.
- Top with remaining Mozzarella cheese.
- Return to oven until cheese melts.
