Chocolate Chunk Cookies
- 1/2 lb. unsalted butter (2 sticks)
- 2/3 c. granulated sugar
- 2/3 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 8 oz. bittersweet chocolate, chopped in small chunks
- In medium bowl, cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
- Add to butter mixture and combine. Divide dough in half and place on sheets of parchment paper.
- Roll each half into a log about 1 1/2 inches.
- Refrigerate until firm, 2 hours or overnight.
- Cut logs into 1/4-inch and place on pan. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in a 350u0b0 oven.
