Grandma'S Casserole
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 large bell pepper, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 15 oz. tomato sauce
- 2 c. water
- 8 oz. wide egg noodles
- 8 oz. grated Mozzarella cheese
- 29 oz. whole tomatoes
- Saute onions and bell pepper in margarine for 3 minutes.
- Add salt, pepper and sugar.
- Add ground chuck, stirring until torn apart and brown.
- Add tomatoes, sauce and water.
- Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Spread dry noodles in 4-quart oblong pan.
- Pour mixture over noodles, making sure all noodles are covered.
- Sprinkle cheese on top.
- Cover pan tightly with foil.
- Bake 45 minutes at 350u0b0.
- Serves 8 to 10.
