Chocolate Walnut Dollars

  1. Cream together butter, sugar and slightly beaten egg.
  2. Add vanilla, dry ingredients and milk.
  3. Melt chocolate (microwave works) and mix into dough.
  4. Dough will be thick.
  5. I knead it with my hands until uniform in color.
  6. Add nuts; divide dough into halves and form into 2 long rolls on plastic wrap.
  7. Chill dough until firm.
  8. Unwrap roll and slice thinly, about 1/2-inch.
  9. Bake in 350u0b0 oven for about 10 minutes.
  10. Cookies will not puff up. Dough will keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  11. Makes about 40 half dollar size cookies.
