Monkey Bread
- 1 lb. butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 4 eggs
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 level Tbsp. salt
- approximately 6 c. flour
- In a large
- bowl
- dissolve yeast in warm water or milk. In a medium-sized saucepan melt butter in milk, bring to boil. Remove from stoveto
- cool
- to
- lukewarm.
- Add
- to yeast with sugar, salt and
- eggs (slightly beaten).
- Mix well.
- Gradually add enough flour to
- make
- a
- soft
- dough.
- Let rise to double (about 2 to 3 hours).
- Punch
- down
- and
- knead for 5 minutes. Form into small balls
- fortound rolls or roll out on floured board and cut with a
- biscuit cutter and fold over for Parker House rolls.
- Let rise totoubletaboutt to 1 1/2 hours). Bake at 375u0b0 until golden brown.
