Cajun Shrimp
- 3/4 c. butter or margarine, divided
- 1/4 c. finely chopped green onions
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. dried basil
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1/8 tsp. oregano
- 1 3/4 lb. medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 6 Tbsp. fish stock
- 3 Tbsp. finely chopped fresh parsley
- cooked rice or pasta
- In large skillet, melt 1/2 cup butter.
- Add onions, salt, garlic, peppers, basil, thyme and oregano; stir well.
- Add shrimp; saute until pink, about 1 minute, shaking the pan.
- Add mushrooms, stock and remaining butter.
