Black Bottom Pie

  1. Soak gelatin in cold water.
  2. Mix 3/4 cup of sugar, cornstarch, salt and egg yolks; beat well.
  3. Add milk slowly, stirring constantly.
  4. Cook over boiling water, stirring until mixture thickens and coats spoon.
  5. Add gelatin; stir until dissolved. Divide mixture in half.
  6. To one half, add chocolate and vanilla. Mix well.
  7. Spoon into crust and chill.
