Kev'S Famous Double Meat Chili
- 1 3/4 lb. ground chuck
- 1 3/4 lb. sirloin or round steak
- 1 huge onion
- 5 c. garlic
- 1 medium green pepper
- 1 pkg. McCormick Chili-O mix
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 jalapeno peppers
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp. cider vinegar
- 3/4 tsp. salt (optional)
- 1/4 tsp. m.s.g. (optional)
- 1/4 tsp. ground coriander or cilantro
- 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
- 3/4 c. beer
- 1/2 c. Ro-Tel tomatoes and chilies
- 1 can chili or kidney beans
- In 2 pans brown and drain the meat.
- Cube sirloin first.
- In a large pot over low flame, combine chopped onion, green pepper and minced garlic.
- Add meat, spices, beer and tomatoes.
- Simmer for 2 1/2 hours or until thick.
- Add beans for 20 minutes to warm them and serve.
