Lower Calorie Granola
- 3 c. rolled oats
- 1 1/2 c. wheat germ
- 1/4 c. dry milk
- 1/4 c. chopped, unsalted nuts or seeds
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/3 c. oil
- 1/3 c. honey
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- Mix oats, wheat germ, dry milk and chopped nuts in a large bowl.
- Heat and stir oil and honey in a small saucepan until blended.
- Remove from heat and stir in cinnamon and vanilla. Drizzle honey mixture over oat mixture and stir thoroughly.
- Spread on 2 cookie sheets.
- Bake at 300u0b0 for 10 minutes.
- Remove and stir well.
- Bake 10 minutes more; remove and stir.
- Bake 5 minutes more. Cool completely.
- Add raisins and store in an airtight container. Serving size:
- 1/4 cup.
