Savory Pork Stir-Fry
- 1 lb. lean boneless pork or chicken
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp. dry ginger
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 carrot, cut in thin strips
- 1/2 green pepper, cut into strips
- 1 onion, chopped coarsely
- 1 stalk broccoli, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 Tbsp. chicken broth
- 1 Tbsp. toasted sesame seed, if desired
- 2 c. cooked rice
- Slice pork or chicken across grain in 1/8-inch strips. Marinate in soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, sesame oil, garlic and ginger for 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in electric skillet or wok to 400u0b0.
- Stir-fry pork for 3 to 5 minutes, until pork is no longer pink.
- Add vegetables, chicken broth and marinade.
- Stir mixture until tender-crisp.
- Serve over hot cooked rice.
- Sprinkle with toasted sesame seed.
- Makes 4 servings.
