Three Cheese Manicotti

  1. For sauce, in a 2-quart saucepan cook onion and garlic in hot oil until tender.
  2. Add undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar and 1 teaspoon oregano, thyme and bay leaf.
  3. Bring to boiling and reduce heat.
  4. Simmer, uncovered, for 20 to 25 minutes, or until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat, discard bay leaf.
