Coconut Spice Cake

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients and beat well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  2. Combine flour and next 4 ingredients. Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
  3. Stir in vanilla, coconut and chopped pecans. Pour batter into 2 greased 9-inch round cake pans. Bake at 350u0b0 for 25 minutes. Cool cake layers in pans for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove and frost.
