Sausage Cake

  1. Mix first 7 ingredients by hand, then add boiling water and buttermilk with soda, dissolved in 2 cups flour.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Mix dried fruit, black walnuts, 1 cup flour and raisins.
  4. Add fruit mixture to batter.
  5. Bake in greased tube pan at 350u0b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
  6. Let cool.
  7. Cover with heavy foil.
  8. Can be refrigerated for up to 1 week or can be frozen.
