Plecovnik(Ham Yeast Bread)

  1. Dissolve yeast
  2. in
  3. warm
  4. water and 1 tablespoon sugar. Combine water, potato,
  5. 1 tablespoon sugar, salt and oil.
  6. Add to the yeast.
  7. Stir
  8. in
  9. 2
  10. 1/2 cups flour and beat well.
  11. Let batter rise in
  12. warm
  13. place
  14. until bubbly, about 40 to 50 minutes.
  15. Then add

  17. diced
  18. ham.
  19. Work
  20. in flour one cup at a time.
  21. Turn out on lightly floured surface.
  22. Knead for about 5 minutes, place

  27. Punch down, turn on flour board or surface. Then

  30. two 9 x 5-inch loaf pans that have

  35. for 40 minutes.
  36. Depends on your oven. Brush top with warm water or melted butter.
