One-Rise Cinnamon Rolls
- 3 to 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 10 Tbsp. butter
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- Combine 1 1/2 cups flour, yeast, 1/4 cup sugar, salt, 2 tablespoons butter, egg and 1 cup hot water in mixer bowl.
- Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes.
- Stir in remaining 2 cups flour.
- Knead on floured surface 1 minute.
- Roll 7 x 15-inch rectangle.
- Spread mixture of 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and 1/2 cup butter over dough. Roll as for jelly roll.
- Slice.
- Combine cream, brown sugar and walnuts in 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- Place rolls in prepared pan. Let rise for 35 to 45 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for 25 to 35 minutes or until brown.
- Cool for 15 minutes before inverting on serving tray.
- Makes 16 servings.
