Cheesy Spaghetti Bake
- 8 oz. spaghetti noodles
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 2 1/2 c. water
- 1 (1 1/2 oz.) pkg. spaghetti sauce mix (Durkee)
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 2 Tbsp. grated parmesan
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- Brown chuck with onion; drain.
- Add tomato sauce, 2 1/4 cups water, spaghetti sauce mix, oregano and salt.
- Simmer uncovered 20 minutes.
- Cook spaghetti noodles according to directions, rinse and drain; set aside.
- In skillet, melt butter (take away from heat); stir in flour until smooth.
- Add 1/2 cup water and milk; stir until smooth.
- Put in cheese and place on burner just long enough to melt the cheese and stir until smooth.
- Layer 1/2 spaghetti, 1/2 tomato sauce, cheese sauce (use all of it), remaining spaghetti and remaining tomato sauce.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and bake at 350u0b0 for 20 to 30 minutes or until bubbly.
- Can be frozen.
