Chocolate Marshmallow Pudding

  1. Melt chocolate over hot water in top of double boiler. Thoroughly mix sugar, flour and salt.
  2. Add to chocolate, stir well until well blended.
  3. Add about 1/4 cup of the milk, stir to a smooth paste.
  4. Stir in the rest of the milk and water.
  5. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
  6. When thick, add marshmallows; cover and continue cooking 15 minutes, occasionally stirring. Stir a little of the hot mixture into the beaten egg and return to double boiler for 2 minutes, stirring all the time.
  7. Then remove from heat and add vanilla.
  8. Serve warm or cold with milk or cream.
