Italian Hamburger Casserole
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 2 tsp. garlic salt
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
- 1 (10 to 12 oz.) pkg. fine egg noodles
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 2 c. dairy sour cream
- 12 green onions, chopped
- 8 oz. (2 c.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
- In large skillet, brown ground beef; drain.
- Stir in tomato sauce and seasonings.
- Heat to boiling.
- Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes.
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- Cook noodles as directed on package; drain.
- In blender, combine cream cheese and sour cream.
- Stir in green onions.
- In a 9 x 13-inch pan, layer cooked noodles, cream cheese mixture, meat sauce and cheese.
- Bake for about 1 hour until bubbly.
- Makes 10 servings.
