Beef And Macaroni Casserole
- 1 c. macaroni
- 4 Tbsp. butter, divided
- 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/4 c. chopped onions
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- pinch of ground pepper
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. skim milk
- 2 oz. Mozzarella cheese, grated
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Prepare macaroni according to package directions.
- Drain and return to cooking pot; set aside.
- In medium skillet over medium-high heat melt 1 tablespoon butter. Add beef and onion; cook about 2 minutes or until beef loses its pink color, stirring often.
- Drain off all fat.
- Stir tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper into meat mixture; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low.
- Simmer uncovered 3 minutes; set aside.
