Refrigerator Rolls
- 3/4 c. hot water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. Fleischmann's margarine
- 1 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 2 pkg. or cakes Fleischmann's yeast
- 1 egg, beaten
- 5 1/4 c. unsifted flour (about)
- Mix together hot water, sugar, salt and margarine.
- Cool to lukewarm.
- Measure warm water into large warm bowl.
- Sprinkle or crumble in yeast.
- Stir until dissolved.
- Stir in lukewarm water mixture, egg and half the flour; beat until smooth.
- Stir in enough remaining flour to make soft dough.
- Turn out onto lightly floured board and knead until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
- Place dough in greased bowl, turning to grease top. Cover tightly with waxed paper.
- Store in refrigerator until double in bulk, or until needed.
- To use, punch down and cut off amount needed.
- Shape as desired.
- Let rise 1 hour.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for about 15 to 20 minutes.
