Ham And Asparagus Pie
- 3 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 c. mayonnaise
- 2 c. cooked, diced ham
- 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen cut asparagus, cooked
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 baked deep dish pie shell
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- Melt butter in a saucepan.
- Stir in next 3 ingredients. Remove from heat.
- Gradually stir in milk until smooth.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sauce comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute.
- Stir small amount of sauce into mayonnaise, then stir into mixture in saucepan.
- Add ham, asparagus and lemon juice; cook until heated.
- Turn into pie shell.
- Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Broil about 2 minutes, until lightly browned.
- Serves 6.
