Blackberry Jam Cake With Caramel Icing

  1. Cream together margarine and sugars.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each one is added.
  3. Stir in buttermilk and preserves, mixing well.
  4. Sift together dry ingredients and add to mix.
  5. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350u0b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
  6. (Test with toothpick.)
  7. Cool.
