Shrimp Stuffed Bell Peppers

  1. Brown onions and celery (if use beef, brown it also) in shortening.
  2. Add rice, chopped shrimp, egg, cheese, Italian seasoning and salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Stuff peppers firmly with stuffing.
  4. Place in a 5-quart heavy boiler with tomato sauce, Ragu and sugar.
  5. Add approximately 2 cups water.
  6. Sprinkle peppers with paprika.
  7. Boil on medium heat for about 1 hour with pot covered.
