Cocoa Powder Brownies

  1. preheat oven to 350.
  2. Line a 9 x 13 baking pan with parchment paper, and spray with cooking spray.
  3. Melt the butter and sugar in a saucepan over low heat. Let it cool slightly then transfer to a mixing bowl.
  4. Add the vanilla and then gradually add the eggs while mixing thoroughly.
  5. Sift the dry ingredients together then add to the butter and egg mixture stirring in gently only until all ingredients are wet.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan, and bake for about 35 minutes.
  8. Don't over bake!
  9. Let cool in the pan then turn out, and remove the parchment paper.
  10. Cut into 12 pieces.
