Pepper Steak
- 1 1/2 lb. round steak
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 medium tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- 2 medium sized green peppers, thinly sliced
- 1 c. water
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. beef bouillon granules
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. water
- hot cooked rice or noodles
- Pound steak to 1/4-inch thickness, using meat mallet.
- Cut steak into serving size pieces.
- Brown steak in hot oil in large skillet; drain.
- Return to skillet and add tomatoes, green peppers, onion, water, soy sauce, pepper, bouillon granules, garlic powder and ginger.
- Cover, reduce heat and simmer 55 minutes, stirring occasionally.
