Pepperoni And Cheese Loaf
- 1 loaf (16 oz.) frozen bread dough
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 pkg. (3 1/2 oz. each) sliced pepperoni
- 2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 tsp. dried whole oregano
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil
- Thaw
- dough and allow
- to
- rise
- according
- totackage directions.
- Divide dough in
- halftnd set one portion aside. Turn out remaining dough
- on
- lightly
- floured
- surface.
- Roll into 10-inch circle.
- Combine
- eggtnd Parmesan cheese, stirring well.
- Spread 1/2 of
- egg
- mixturetver circle leaving a 1/2-inch margin at edge.
- Lay 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 Mozzarella over egg mixture and sprinkle
- witht/2 of oregano and basil. Roll up jelly roll fashion.
- Seal
- edges
- and fold under ends. Transfer loaf, seam side
- down,
- to an ungreased baking sheet. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Brush top of loaf with egg. Bake at 375u0b0 for 30 minutes.
- Cut
- into slices and serve.
- May be served with a side of spaghetti sauce for dipping.
