Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Mega Batch Cookies
- 9 c. flour, unsifted (2 lb. 5 oz.)
- 4 tsp. baking soda
- 4 tsp. salt
- 2 lb. butter (1 lb. margarine and 1 lb. Crisco)
- 3 c. packed brown sugar (1 1/2 lb.)
- 3 c. granulated sugar (1 lb. 5 oz.)
- 8 eggs (large)
- 4 tsp. vanilla (1/2 oz.)
- 12 c. chocolate chips (4 1/2 lb.)
- 4 c. oatmeal
- 4 c. walnuts (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- In large bowl, combine flour, soda and salt; set aside.
- In upright mixer bowl, cream butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients into wet ingredients until blended.
- (Place wet ingredients in larger bowl before adding wet ingredients; beat by hand.)
- Add oatmeal, mix and stir in chips and nuts.
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Cool on rack.
- Makes 32 dozen 2-inch cookies.
