Cheesy-Topped Chops

  1. In skillet, brown chops in hot oil about 10 minutes; drain. Transfer chops to an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt butter or margarine; stir in flour.
  3. Add milk and cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
  4. Stir 1/2 the thickened mixture into beaten egg; return to saucepan.
  5. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  6. Stir in cheese, onion and pepper.
  7. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of mixture atop each chop.
  8. Sprinkle with paprika.
  9. Bake, uncovered, in 350u0b0 oven for 30 minutes or until meat is done.
  10. Makes 4 servings.
