Chocolate Bonbons
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1/4 c. margarine (1/2 stick)
- 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 oz. white chocolate candy coating
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
- 60 pieces Hershey's Kisses or Hershey's Hugs
- 1 tsp. shortening or oil
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- In a medium saucepan, combine chocolate chips and margarine.
- Cook over low heat until chips are melted. Add milk; mix well.
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, nuts, chocolate mixture and vanilla; mix well.
- Shape 1 tablespoon of dough around each candy piece.
- Cover completely.
- Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 6 to 8 minutes; do not overbake.
- Cookies will be soft and shiny, but will harden as they cool.
