Turkey Chow Mein
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 medium green pepper, cut in strips
- 1 c. celery
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 3/4 c. strong chicken bouillon
- 1/2 envelope onion soup mix (1/4 dry)
- 2/3 c. diced turkey
- 1 (16 oz.) can bean sprouts, drained
- 8 oz. can water chestnuts, sliced and drained
- 3 oz. can mushrooms, drained (or fresh)
- chow mein noodles
- In large skillet, stir-fry green pepper and celery in butter until tender-crisp.
- Combine cornstarch, water and soy sauce; blend into pepper mixture.
- Stir in bouillon.
- Cook and stir until thickened.
- Stir in remaining ingredients except noodles.
- Heat thoroughly.
- Serve over noodles.
- Serves 6.
