Hamburger Casserole
- 1 1/2 lb. hamburger meat
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 1 (12 oz.) can Mexicorn with red and green peppers
- 1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes
- 1 small onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. small macaroni shells
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 medium size pkg. mild cheese, grated
- Saute onion and garlic in small amount of oil.
- Add hamburger; cook until browned well.
- Add chili powder, Mexicorn, tomatoes and tomato sauce.
- Cook in Dutch oven about 35 minutes with lid on. Cook shells until tender; drain.
- Add layers of shells, sauce and grated cheese and repeat until all is used.
- Good also with small can of mushrooms.
- Cook in 350u0b0 oven until cheese has melted well.
