Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
- 1 c. margarine or butter, softened
- 1 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. oatmeal
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
- Beat margarine and sugars until creamy.
- Add eggs, milk and vanilla; mix well.
- Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in oatmeal, chocolate chips and nuts.
- Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 9 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies or 12 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies.
- Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet, then move to wire rack to cool completely. Makes approximately 5 dozen.
