Breakfast Rolls

  1. Scald milk.
  2. Add sugar, salt and oleo.
  3. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  4. Add to milk and sugar mixture. Beat egg and add to the same mixture.
  5. Add 2 cups flour and beat until smooth.
  6. Stir in 2 more cups flour; knead until it is a smooth ball.
  7. Place in an oiled bowl and let set in a warm place until rolls rise to double in size.
  8. Knead down.
  9. Roll out to 1/3-inch thick on a floured surface.
  10. Spread soft layer of margarine.
  11. Sprinkle 1 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon over the top.
  12. Roll up and pinch the seam together.
  13. Cut and lay 1-inch apart on a cookie sheet.
  14. Let rise until double in size and bake at 375u0b0 until brown.
  15. Glaze with powdered sugar glaze, if desired.
