Hot Sandwich Supreme
- 1 can (10 1/2 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. grated onion
- 1 c. Milnot
- 2 c. chicken or tuna
- 2 Tbsp. chopped pimento
- 8 slices bread, trimmed
- 3 eggs
- 3 c. crushed potato chips
- 3 Tbsp. slivered almonds (optional)
- salt and pepper to taste
- In small saucepan blend soup, flour and onions and 3/4 cup Milnot.
- Cook over low heat until mixture comes to a boil (stir constantly to prevent scorching).
- Remove from heat, stir in chicken and pimento.
- Spread in 8 x 8-inch or 9 x 9-inch pan. Chill until thick.
- Cut in 4 squares and place on each of 4 slices of bread, top with other bread.
- Cut in halves or quarters.
- Beat eggs and remaining Milnot together.
- Dip sandwiches in egg mixture, then in potato chips.
- Sprinkle with almonds.
- Place on greased cookie sheet, bake at 350u0b0 about 30 minutes.
