Layered Tostada Bake
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 (1 1/4 oz.) envelope taco seasoning mix
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
- 1 (4 oz.) can whole green chilies, drained, seeded and chopped
- 1/2 c. sliced, ripe olives
- 1 c. Bisquick baking mix
- 1/2 c. yellow corn meal
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 c. dairy sour cream
- 1 egg
- 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- Heat oven to 375u0b0.
- Grease 12 x 7 1/2 x 2-inch baking dish. Cook and stir ground beef and onion in skillet until beef is brown; drain.
- Stir in seasoning mix, tomato sauce, beans, chili and olives.
- Mix baking mix, corn meal, milk, egg and oil until moistened; beat vigorously 30 seconds.
- Spread in dish.
- Spoon beef mixture over dough.
- Mix the remaining ingredients; spoon over beef mixture.
- Bake 30 minutes; let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings.
