Cranberry Nut Bread

  1. Heat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Grease bottom and sides of a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
  3. In a medium-size bowl, beat butter until creamy.
  4. Beat in sugar until pale and fluffy.
  5. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. In small bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt; stir into butter mixture just until blended. Fold in cranberry sauce and nuts.
  7. Spoon into prepared pan and bake 50 to 60 minutes until pick inserted in center of bread comes out clean.
  8. Cool bread in pan 10 minutes; invert onto rack (or will make three 1-pound loaves).
  9. Makes great Christmas gifts.
